“Still a good place to stay, but needs renovation”

I spent many weeks here as a kid with my parents, when the hotel still was under management of the (younger) 2nd generation of the Benzi family. The kitchen was simply awesome, the hotel was stately, the amenities aplenty. Twenty years later (today), it's largely unchanged. The kitchen is closed and the former restaurant is now used as breakfast hall. The hotel is in need of renovation and a serious freshing-up. Many broken tiles around the pool, a somewhat outdated feeling to much of the amenities, a seriously outdated style in the lobby, still the tiny (but cute) elevator (that already felt old 25 years ago), even the padded phone booth (from times when landlines were the only way of telecommunication...) is still there, largely unchanged. I felt melancholic, being there. The splendid feelings of my youth conflicted with the sorrow of seeing the hotel largely unchanged and ... well yes: sliding off.... Beds are still splendid and comfortable. Breakfast is more than plenty. Location is very good.

“Splendid Hotel with big swimming pool”

I showed up there without a booking and I got a room for two at the very modest price (consider that it was a 4 stars hotel, it was the same price of the 3 stars hotel competitors). I showed up there without a booking and I got a room for two at the very modest price (consider that it was a 4 stars hotel, it was the same price of the 3 stars hotel competitors). Nice bedroom, quiet hotel with a big swimming pool. Not to far from the city centre and the beach. Will definitely go back there the next time that I'm in Milano Marittima.

Hotel Deanna deserves its **** because of the fine kitchen. Other than that, it's an average to OK hotel: it isn't at all dazzling in terms of chic, finesse, looks, style or grandeur. The pool is small and located very close to the building; the garden is pretty though. The hotel itself is dated, some rooms are really worn and desperately need refurbushment. Service is OK, sometimes friendly but certainly not always. Located on Matteotti, far enough from the town center to not suffer from nightly nuisances, close enough for a short walk into town. Close to the beach too. If you're looking for a ** to *** hotel with fantastic cuisine: book here. If you're looking for a true **** atmosphere, look further.
