I booked this hotel having only read the booking.com where it had received 4 stars. Not the same on Trip Advisor. This hotel is NOT in Kamari central. It's a bit far out and you'd need to get a bus to Monothelpos (Fira).bus stop is ten minutes walk from hotel. On our arrival we looked at the pool, but it was crowded by young adults/teenagers (not v romantic) we decided to head to our room. However, later on in the week we noticed more diversity in ethnicity and ages. I wouldn't book this hotel again if I were going on a honeymoon. It has a more younger vibe (early 20) but in the week this can change. Good points. -We got a nice room, not the same as those in pictures (no Bathtub). Window lock not working. - you can get a bus not consistent though. -good cleaner -breakfast buffet has range of food (bit greasy) -near a beach( pebbly though!) - good for young clubbers/teenagers - waiters work hard. Improvement -near music too loud, music feels like clubbing Ibiza type :( - trips and car hire are charged at a higher price. -some customers at the hotel can be rude, pushing you to get breakfast. - beach is too pebbly to swim/dirty - sunbeds need tlc -No security box inside room -door lock seems easy to break in -dirty swimming pool after someone put toilet paper in! - too far away from Kamari beach everything else. My advice is too book in Thera as it's easy to get around even though others don't suggest that!

The pool area was beautiful to experience here. The breakfast was quite nice but changed every day. The resturant was reasonably priced and had good options. The bar tender at the pool was very, very, very slow. He took on average around 10 minutes to make a drink. Rooms were clean and had good Air Conditioning. Easy to get a taxi to and from town. Would stay again but bar tender needs more training.

The Hotel Okeanis is not a 4* Hotel. I would say it is a 3* and still needs some adjustments. The Hotel Okeanis is not a 4* Hotel. I would say it is a 3* and still needs some adjustments. The biggest problem is that you cant sleep with open balcony doors becaus it is axctly next to airport runway and the noice is incredible. It is located on a very nice beach, has quite good Breakfast and the rooms are spacious with all the facilities. Cleanliness needs to be better.
